A typical KAYAK ADVENTURE trip lasts 3 hours.Full moon paddles last four hours. You pick a trip of interest and call Susanne at 919-259-2241 to sign up. Trips are nature oriented and geared to the novice paddler but private trips can be arranged for any skill level.
Where to meet- You will be emailed directions to the put in after signing up for the trip
What to wear- Wear quick drying clothing , a hat and shoes that can get wet…NO FLIP FLOPS
What to bring-Water to drink, sunscreen, a snack. Camera and binoculars for some trips.
KAYAKS DO NOT HAVE SKIRTS, THEY ARE DESIGNED FOR BEGINNER PADDLERS, HAVE WIDE COCKPITS AND DO NOT TIP OVER EASILY.
COST-The cost of the trip includes all equipment, (kayak, life jacket and paddle), guide and short instruction and will be posted in the trip description. Usually $45 or $50 per boat, $25 if you bring your own pre-approved gear.
TRIPS ARE SCHEDULED EVERY WEEKEND DURING SPRING, SUMMER AND FALL.
PRIVATE OUTINGS MAY BE SCHEDULED FOR SUNDAY AFTERNOONS OR WEEKDAY EVENINGS. PRIVATE OUTINGS COST $300 FOR A THREE HOUR EXPERIENCE WITH UP TO 5 PEOPLE, $50 FOR EACH ADDITIONAL PERSON. REST STOP WITH SNACK IS PROVIDED AS ARE PHOTOS ON KAYAK ADVENTURES FACEBOOK PAGE.
